Frank-M. Chmielewski is Meteorologist and Professor of Agricultural Climatology at Humboldt-University of Berlin.
Current and past research topics included impacts of recent and possible future climate changes on natural and managed ecosystems.
For ten years now, he has been working on a better understanding of metabolic processes in sweet cherry buds and the timing of the invisible dormancy phases during plant development. He is coordinator of the International Phenological Gardens in Europe and the Global Phenological Monitoring Program.
