Modelling as a tool for predicting and understanding phenology: A review.

Professor Hänninen has studied phenology for almost 40 years.

His main research interests are :

1) to combine process-based tree phenology modelling with experimental ecophysiology and

2) to apply the process-based tree phenology models to assess the effects of climate change.
